Talking of transcending, you’re probably wondering, does know art suppress me from the crowd psyche?; the fear of becoming different? elevate me to a higher being which possesses a unique persona with higher awareness of the beauty? It is truer than ever. In fact, before WW2, people perceived art as the essential privilege of the higher class. Especially in our age of technology, when most people are educated the same way, having the same mentality, they encourage the kind of art that is mass produced with no quality whatsoever by consuming the vague and stupid entertainment like ASMR and Lil’ Pump, Lil’ Dickey, Lil’ Fool, Lil’ Kang, Lil’ Sista, Lil’ Kim; Big G, BigGie M, Bic Mc Cheese, Big Baine, Big D (are we done yet?)…etc…This kind of arts just add zero quality to their life, aesthetic opinion, therefore they’re trapped in the crowd psyche, pretend to be happy from outside but empty, sad, depressed and miserable from the inside. But if one can comprehend the beauty (which belong to the beholders) and find them self uniquely difference, they can now live true to themselves, be a bright or dark spot in the social circle, dominate and mold the crowd psyche to their own liking or be bitter, pessimistic, isolated, criticizing and (possibly) die in some corner. So I guess depending on who you are, art can either bring you Joyce and give you wing like an angel or it can drag you down a path of self-destruction, mess your life up even more 🙂
